Proper cleaning of stainless steel elbows can improve their safety performance and prolong their service life. The electrode should be kept dry when used.

The titanium-calcium type should be dried at 150°C for 1 hour, and the low-hydrogen type should be dried at 200-250°C for 1 hour (do not repeat the drying many times, otherwise the coating is easy to crack and peel off), so as to prevent the electrode coating Sticky oil and other dirt, so as not to increase the carbon content of the weld and affect the quality of the weldment.

When the elbow is welded, carbides are precipitated by repeated heating, which reduces corrosion resistance and mechanical properties. Hardening after welding is relatively large, and cracks are prone to occur.

If the same type of electrode is used for welding, it is best to perform preheating above 300°C and slow cooling at about 700°C after welding. If the weldments cannot be heat treated after welding, chrome-nickel stainless steel electrodes should be used.

Installation instructions for stainless steel elbows:

1. Before installing the stainless steel elbow, it is best to carefully check the various standards of the stainless steel elbow, whether the diameter meets the requirements for use, eliminate the defects caused by the transportation process, and eliminate the dirt on the stainless steel elbow, and make preparations before installation. ***Ready.

2. When installing, the stainless steel elbow can be directly installed on the pipeline according to the connection method, and installed according to the position of use. Under normal circumstances, it can be installed at any position in the pipeline, but it needs to be easy to operate and repair. Note that the medium flow direction of the cut-off stainless steel elbow should be from the bottom of the vertical valve disc to the bottom, and the stainless steel elbow can only be installed horizontally. When installing the stainless steel elbow, pay attention to the tightness to prevent leakage and affect the normal operation of the pipeline.

3. The bolts of the stainless steel elbow valve packing gland should be tightened evenly, and should not be pressed into a crooked state, so as not to bruise and hinder the movement of the valve stem or cause leakage.

4. When using stainless steel elbow ball valves, globe valves, and gate valves, they are only fully open or fully closed, and are not allowed to adjust the flow rate, so as to avoid erosion of the sealing surface and accelerated wear. There is an inverted sealing device inside the gate valve and the upper thread globe valve, and the hand wheel is turned to the upper position and tightened to prevent the medium from leaking from the packing.
